Arlene Schuster-Goss, Casting Director, CCDA

After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in film, Arlene dove into the world of commercial production in New York. As a 2nd A.D., Arlene found the most fulfillment from working closely with the on-set talent. This revelation led her to seek a position in casting, where she could work with actors on a daily basis while utilizing her film school background to execute casting sessions with a director’s understanding.

In 1988 Arlene re-located to Los Angeles, where she earned a slot as an in-house casting director at H.K.M. Productions. In addition to casting commercials with SAG talent, Arlene spent many days, and sometimes weeks, on the road, traveling around the country to cast “real people” for clients such as American Airlines and Levis.

In 1992 Arlene ventured out on her own to open ASG Casting, Inc., where she has thrived in the casting industry ever since.

In recent years Arlene’s “real people” background has made her a highly sought-after commodity by producers of the reality TV boom. In addition to casting over 1500 commercials, Arlene has cast such hit reality TV shows as The Mole for ABC and The Joe Schmo Show for Spike TV.

Justin Radley, Casting Director, CCDA

After graduating from The Colorado College a semester early so he could make an independent film, Justin moved to Chicago to begin his career in the film industry. There he worked on commercials and independent films in various capacities, ranging from P.A. to Video D.P. until he landed a staff position at a company that produced personalized demo reels for actors. His work for this company sent him to London for a year where he made contacts with British talent agents and researched the potential for opening an overseas division.

In 1997 Justin moved to Los Angeles, where he took a job as the manager of a busy commercial casting facility. This position gave Justin the opportunity to learn many aspects of commercial casting, but the thing he found most enjoyable was dealing with actors on a daily basis.

In 2002 Justin went to work solely for Arlene as a casting associate. After two more years of hard work Justin became a partner at ASG Casting, Inc.
